A Winning Surge! Roadrunner Volleyball Blanks Atlantic Cape CC for Third Straight Triumph!

Yes -- winning is contagious! And to open the brand new 2025 season, the Roadrunner Volleyball team has jumped right on the bandwagon as was evident with Wednesday night's 3-0 win over visiting Atlantic Cape CC.

Led by veterans such as Brooklyn Eiserman and newcomers such as freshman Keira Rosner, the Runners won their third straight after dropping their opener to powerhouse Raritan Valley last weekend.

Under fourth-year coach Samantha Bevilacqua, the team is off to a solid 3-1 start overall and 2-1 in the conference after the win over the Bucaneers, a team that defeated RCSJ twice last season.

"Nothing beats seeing this early success, especially after we've worked so hard as a team," said Eiserman, a Timber Creek graduate, "We seem to have the perfect blend of veterans and newcomers, so hopefully we keep improving."

The Runners, who also defeated Atlantic Cape on the road Monday night, picked right up where they left off earlier on the week. They swept all three sets against a competitive Bucs' team by scores of 26-19, 25-12, and 25-17.

The Runners were fueled by solid play by Rosner around the net as well in the front and back courts by teammates Marissa Van Atter, Elizabeth Mathis, Catriana Haas, Amanda Dinh and Abigail Butts and others.

"We worked on making sure we support each other, and it really showed out here in this game," said Rosner. "It's been a lot of fun"

The Runners will continue to face many challenges ahead -- the next match will be against Community College of Philadelphia Monday night on the road, the first of four straight matches vs. Pennsylvania opponents.
