Freshman Standout Boysen Helps Women's Volleyball Remain Unbeaten

Despite a limited number of matches, Roadrunner Volleyball Coach Rebecca Pierson has seen steady progress throughout her roster.

That was the case Wednesday night as the Runners rolled to a 3-0 win over host Passaic County Community College. The win was the the third of the young campaign for Pierson's team.

"We've had some matches postponed or canceled, and it's been tough to evaluate our season," commented Pierson. "But everyone has contributed in our three wins so far, and our coaching staff is always happy to see that!"

On Wednesday, freshman middle hitter Katelyn Boysen performed well in helping the Runners sweep the three matches by scores of 25-12, 25-11 and 25-9.

"I had played outside hitter most of my career, so this has been a learning experience," said Boysen. "I was pretty excited to start some matches, and we've made some steady improvement as a team."

Up next for the Runners will be a tri-match with Montgomery (PA) and Cecil (MD) on Saturday.
