Former RCGC/GCC standout pitcher Ryan Buchter continues to shine in the Major Leagues!
With the regular season just ending on Sept. 30th, Buchter has earned a key spot on the Oakland A's post-season roster as a lefty out of the bullpen. Since August, he has been on fire, finishing the regular season with an impressive 6-0 record, 2.75 ERA, and 41 strikeouts in 39.1 innings pitched.
The veteran hurler, who is 31 years old and has been lights out against left-handed hitters this season, is ready for the post-season.
"I just want to do my job and do it well," Buchter told NBC Sports California. "It's been a lot of fun this year. The guys are great. The clubhouse is great."
The RCGC alum, a graduate of Highland Regional High School in Blackwood, NJ, was drafted by the Washington Nationals in 2005 but decided to pitch for the Roadrunners in 2006 to develop his skills. Roadrunner Athletics wishes Ryan the best during the upcoming American League playoffs and MLB post-season play!
