Mitchell Scores Key Goal, DeVault Records Sixth Shutout to Lead Women's Soccer Past Bucks County

Rebekah Mitchell (Woodstown), Madison Dorney (Washington Township) and Megan Lord (Glassboro) each scored goals to lift the RCGC women's soccer team to a 3-0 triumph over visiting Bucks County Community College in a Region XIX contest Thursday.

The win improves the Roadrunners' overall record to 7-1 as they bounced back from their only loss of the season earlier in the week to RCBC.

"We had a terrible second half against RCBC, but this time we had 20 shots in the first half and 12 in the second half -- so it was a nice rebound," said Ruttler. "Hopefully we will continue to improve."

Mitchell netted her goal with 14 minutes, 30 seconds left in the first half for a 1-0 lead. That was all the offense the Runners needed as goalkeeper Jenni DeVault collected her sixth shutout of the season.

Dorney and Lord tallied their goals in the second half to round out the scoring.

The Roadrunners continue a lengthy stretch of games vs. Region XIX opponents when they visit Northampton County on Saturday in a 12 noon contest.
