Roadrunner wrestling competes in this year's NJCAA National Wrestling Championships at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, IA. Here are the Friday results:
At 184 pounds, freshman Max Adelizzi turned in a 1-2 record on the day. Following a loss in the round of 32, Adelizzi bounced back by pinning Southeastern's Carter Ball in the consolation round of 16 in 1:25. He then dropped a consolation bout to Pratt's Drew Withington in a second consolation round match.
At 125 pounds, freshman Haji Saccoh lost by tech fall in the round of 64 to Harper's Truth Veasey while also losing by fall to Indian Hills' Charlie Dykes in 1:40 in the consolation round of 32.
At 149 pounds, freshman Charles Perrin dropped both of his matches on the day. He bowed out to Southeast Nebraska's Ayson Rice in the round of 32 before suffering a fall against Rochester's Gunnar Johnson in the consolation round of 16.

Tournament Preview
Roadrunner Wrestling is set for a big weekend, March 5-6, as they take part in the NJCAA Wrestling Division III National Championship Tournament at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
The squad emerged from the recent Gulf Atlantic District tournament at Lackawanna College with four NJCAA DIII National Championship qualifiers -- Haji Saccoh (125 pounds, wild card), Charles Perrin (149, wild card), Quinn Weismer (174, automatic berth), and Max Adelizzi (194, automatic berth).
Unfortunately, Weismer suffered a recent ankle injury since the tournament and will not compete at Nationals, according to Coach Paul Toppin.
Here is the tentative Roadrunner lineup once the actions kicks off Friday, March 6:
125 pounds -- Haji Saccoh
149 pounds -- Charles Perrin
184 pounds -- Max Adelizzi
