John Cristino, Shawn Dougherty and Jose Correa each slammed home runs to spark the No, 1 nationally ranked Roadrunners to a 17-7 win over Brookdale Community College Friday afternoon.
Cristino, Dougherty, Aaron Graeber and Felix Diaz each knocked in two runs for the winning Runners, who improved to 30-5 overall. Brookdale dropped to 23-15 on the season.
Winning pitcher Angel Cespedes scattered three hits and allowed two earned runs as he ran his season record to 6-1.
Coach Rob Valli's team raced to an 11-1 lead after 5 innings and finished with 15 hits on the afternoon.
The two teams square off again Saturday afternoon in a doubleheader at Brookdale starting at 12 noon.
