Balint Powers Roadrunner Offense to Lead Win Over Atlantic Cape in Home Opener

Designated hitter Mitchell Balint belted a grand slam homer while knocking in five runs to lead the Roadrunner Baseball team to a 18-0 triumph over Atlantic Cape CC in RCSJ's home opener on Friday, March 4.

Left fielder Aaron Graeber also slammed a two-run homer while teammate Jose Correa collected two hits and three RBIs to lead the offensive assault.

The Runners, who improved to 4-1 overall, will continue their three-game series with the Bucs with a doubleheader Saturday at Atlantic Cape CC, with the first pitch set for 12 noon in Game 1.

Sophomore Angel Cespedes hurled seven innings, scattering two hits and allowing no runs to earn the victory. He also struck out six batters on the day.
