2025 Year in Review: Roadrunner Athletics Enjoy High Levels of Success!

Roadrunner Athletics enjoyed a highly successful 2025 in various sports, highlighted by the Roadrunner Baseball team winning their third straightNJCAA Division III National Championship under veteran Head Coach Rob Valli in June 2025.

The Runners, led by World Series heroes R.J. Mustaro and Nick Slogik, rolled to the title with a sweep of the tournament playoff field in Auburn, NY. They finished with a 54-6 overall record with Mustaro, Gabriel Reyes and Matt Brunner selected to the NJCAA All-American teams.

In addition, Valli earned several honors in 2025, including being named NJCAA Division III National Coach of the Year while being honored with his inductions into bothj the Gloucester County Sports Hall of Fame and the Hot Stovers South Jersey Baseball Hall of Fame!

Other notable achievements in the year 2025 included:

* The Men's and Women's Golf teams each capturing Region 19 titles and competed in the NJCAA D III Championships at Chautauqua Golf Club in New York.

* The Women's Tennis team soaringto an NJCAA D III National Runner-up finish in Spring 2025 in Chattanooga, TN. The team also won the Region 19 crown and produced three All=Americans in Jenna Georgette, Allison Barker and Emily Hamilton;

* The Softball team capturing the Region 19 to earn a spot in the NJCAA D III World Series in DeWitt, NY. The Runners produced three All=American honorees in Emily Childs, Rylee Shappell and Sienna Walterson;

* Freshman Laney Vecchio winning the NJCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Champio0nship in Fort Dodge, Iowa;

The Women's Soccer team grabbing the Region 19 championship and qualifying for the NJCAA Division III Tournament;

  • The Women's Volleyball returning to the NJCAA Region 19 tournament after a four-year absence, finishing with a respectable 12-7 overall record under head coach Samantha Bevilacqu

* Women's Basketball Coach Rich Cooper registering his 200th career wiin in a victory over Camden County College in late November. Coach Cooper's team currently has a 9-3 overall record this season.
