Fred Orock on Competing in Roadrunner Athletics: "I've had a lot more playing time since coming to RCSJ, and it's helped me showcase my game. My coaches and teammates have all been supportive, and I continue to see us improving as a team all the time."
Orock feels his game inside the paint has improved quite a bit thanks to his work with the coaching staff and his regular playing time.
"We have several different coaches on the staff, and they have all give me a different perspective on my game -- and that's made me a better player all around. I feel my rebounding and my positioning in the paint have improved, and this has also helped my short-range jump shots."
Orock also did not mind the fact that his team played 6 of their first 7 games on the road this season. "Yes, it wears you down but it also forces you to focus on your game more and take care of business."
Coach Brandon Williams on Fred Orock: "We're very pleased with how far Fred has come along on the court and as a leader off the court. He is a high flier on the court -- he runs the floor well but he can play down in the paint when needed. Off the court, he helps out in practices a lot and works hard on his academics. He is a great young man and an asset to our program."
